Daily Brief Mac Delivery

Privacy notice

Updated October 18, 2026. This notice covers the Gmail outbound utility, not every connected service in the owner's wider Daily Brief workflow.

Google data accessed and used

The utility verifies the authenticated account, reads matching Gmail messages and their metadata to reconcile delivery and prevent duplicates, and sends owner-prepared handoffs and attachments to the owner's designated handoff address. Gmail read-only permission technically permits broader mailbox reading; the implemented outbound workflow uses bounded handoff searches and message readback.

Storage and disclosure

OAuth refresh credentials and the client credential are stored in macOS Keychain. Access tokens are used in process memory. Local operation records and captured handoff evidence are retained on the owner's Mac for duplicate prevention, auditing and recovery. Message content and attachments are transmitted to Google Gmail for delivery. The designated mailbox may be processed by the owner's separately configured Daily Brief services. This public information page does not receive mailbox data or OAuth credentials.

Limits

The utility does not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to train generalized AI models. Google user data is used only to provide this owner-directed handoff functionality, consistent with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements.

Control and retention

The owner may revoke access in Google Account third-party connections and remove locally stored credentials. Revocation does not delete messages already delivered or local audit evidence. Records are retained until the owner removes them; no automatic deletion period is promised. Other services and hosting providers have their own privacy practices.
